Winter hiking is a great way to experience the beauty of the Indiana Dunes!
One of the oldest parks in the state system, Indiana Dunes State Park was established in 1925. This local gem provides year-round recreation, with popular Lake Michigan beaches in the summer and great hiking in all seasons.
Because not everyone has a State Park Pass, we will
meet at the east parking lot of the Dune Park Station of the South Shore Line, 1068 W. Dunes Hwy (US Hwy 12), Porter, IN 46304 at 9:30 AM. Then we can carpool into the Park.

As always, dress for the weather, wear appropriate shoes or boots, and bring your water.
Please contact Jerry Mansell at 331-777-0593 if you are interested in this hike. If the weather conditions require cancellation, we will have a good call list.
Our après hike lunches have become a popular part of our hikes. This time, we will go to
Joe & Freddy's (2958 W Dunes Hwy, Town of Pines, IN 46360), an old-fashioned diner with a great selection of food and beverages!
